We receive these questions often, so we’ve made it easier for you to get the answers you need below when you’re ready to rent a DJ or Karaoke DJ in Johannesburg or hire a DJ in Pretoria.

Q1. Are you registered with the SAMRO and SAMPRA organizations?2023-01-18T11:12:40+02:00

Yes, we’ve undergone the registration requirements for both the South African Music Rights Organization (SAMRO) and the South African Music Performance Rights Association (SAMPRA). We’re therefor licensed to play music in venues throughout the country to give you the best mobile DJ experience.

Q2. What kind of attire do you plan on wearing to my event?2023-01-18T11:14:50+02:00

Our standard event attire includes smart black pants, a button-down shirt, and smart shoes. However, you can request that our DJ’s perform in a full business suite if that would be more appropriate for your scheduled event.

Q3. Do you use professional equipment?2023-01-18T11:15:12+02:00

We exclusively use the most cutting-edge audiovisual technology for all of our events. We only use products from effective and reliable brands such as JBL, Shure, Behringer, and Chauvet. Before every event, we test our equipment to ensure that you’ll have the best DJ and/or karaoke experience, and that there will be no unpleasant surprises on the big day.

Q4. Do you have the Terms and Conditions of your service available to view?2023-01-18T11:15:28+02:00

Yes, we do. Prior to booking, a copy of our Terms and Conditions will be attached with your quote for your review. Please read this document carefully and let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We want our DJ’s and your entire party to have a safe, enjoyable and unforgettable experience!

Q5. Do you have a refund policy?2023-01-18T11:15:45+02:00

Yes, we do. Our refund and cancellation policies are outlined in detail in our Terms and Conditions page. You will receive a copy with our quote for your event. Be sure to have a reliable phone number on file with us for your booking as communication and timing is critically important to both policies.

Q6. Do you have access to replacement DJs?2023-01-18T11:30:46+02:00

If a DJ cannot perform due to injury, health concerns, personal emergency or other unforeseen circumstances, then we  will have DJs on standby to fill in for them.

Q7. Do you request feedback after the function?2023-01-18T11:31:04+02:00

We measure the quality of our service by asking for feedback after each event we host. We always aim for perfection at every event we perform, and feedback provides insight into the quality of service we provide. Understanding what areas we can improve and what’s already working well allows us to perform better at every event we attend.

Q8. Do you take requests?2023-01-18T11:31:20+02:00

Yes, we do take requests. Clients can send written music/song requests up to three weeks in advance of their event date in order to give our DJ’s enough time to plan a playlist including the requests. This will also be outlined in the Terms and Conditions page included with your quote.

Q9. Do you currently have professional liability insurance?2023-01-18T11:31:40+02:00

As a matter of fact, we do. Outsurance is our professional liability insurance provider.

Q10. May I provide a list of the songs we would like to hear from you?2023-01-18T11:31:59+02:00

You are welcome to offer us a list of ten of your preferred songs, genres or musical styles. We usually collect this information during the booking process weeks before event is scheduled to take place.

Q11. What deposit amount do you require to rent a DJ or karaoke host?2023-01-18T11:32:16+02:00

We require a 50% deposit of the full booking amount in order to reserve the service and event date for you. The remaining balance is due three days prior to the event date. We require the full booking payment up front if the event is scheduled last minute (three or less days before the event date).

Q12. Does the price cover accommodations and transportation?2023-01-18T11:33:10+02:00

When you use our service to rent a DJ in Johannesburg or Pretoria, travel costs are covered in these large metropolitan and suburban areas.

In Johannesburg, we’re happy to travel and provide services in areas such as Sandton, Randburg, Fourways, Northcliff, Bedfordview, Roodepoort & Midrand.

In Pretoria, these areas include Silverlakes, Faerie Glen, Menlyn & Waterkloof.

Q13. Do you provide a backup generator in the event of load shedding?2023-01-18T11:33:46+02:00

No, we do not provide a backup generator in the event of load shedding with our DJ rental service. If you’re in an area prone to load shedding, we recommend arranging a backup generator at the venue.
